    What is CDW Basic?

    What is CDW Basic? CDW is an optional damage coverage available whilst the vehicle is under rental agreement. CDW is not an insurance but is a waiver between the renter and the company, which the company waives the right to charge the renter for valid collision or damage to the vehicle, provided the vehicle is used in accordance with the rental agreement. It covers damages to the rental vehicle after the deductible of $2000.00 is met by the renter. CDW is at an additional rate of $5.00 daily plus 12% Gov Tax. Please note that damages to or replacement of mirrors, windshield, tires, rims and undercarriage damage are not covered under this service. Renters will pay for lost keys. In the case of an accident, renters will pay a towing fee of $350.00 if the car is not able to be driven or not operational. The towing cost is separate from the deductible. If the renter fails to notify Garcia’s Car Rental after an accident occurs within 24 hour and did not call the police office to make a report, this will void/Null this waiver that is selected (CDW Basic $5). The Renter will be liable for all damages sustained to the rental vehicle.
